Robot researchers develop 'android' phone

TOKYO, Japan - A woman holds prototypes of the Elfoid, an android (not Android) mobile phone, developed by the Kyoto Prefecture-based Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International, during a media event in Tokyo on March 3, 2011. The phone, with its human-like appearance, is intended to make users feel closer to their conversation partners and is soft to the touch, like human skin.
