Lights turned down in Tokyo on blackout warning
TOKYO, Japan - Buildings in Tokyo's Marunouchi business district turn down the lights on March 17, 2011, as part of electricity saving efforts to avoid massive power outages. Power demand in the region has increased due to cold temperatures amid substantial power shortages following a massive earthquake and tsunami which crippled some power plants.
