Train runs cut on blackout warning in Tokyo
TOKYO, Japan - People wait in lines to board trains at JR Shinjuku Station on March 17, 2011, as the number of train services have been cut as part of electricity saving efforts to avoid massive power outages. Power demand in the region has increased due to cold temperatures amid substantial power shortages following a massive earthquake and tsunami which crippled some power plants.
