Bringing back smiles in Sendai
SENDAI, Japan - Somech Roy (L) of Israel distributes free bread to people in quake-hit city of Sendai on March 19, 2011. Roy, who runs a restaurant in the city, collected donations from Jewish people in Japan and overseas, and ordered ingredients to make 40,000 pieces of bread from other regions of Japan, after seeing that stores were short of bread following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
