Oshima islanders thank U.S. military for relief efforts

KESENNUMA, Japan - A resident of the quake and tsunami-hit island of Oshima in Miyagi Prefecture presents a painting by a local artist to Rear Adm. Jeffrey Jones (L) in appreciation for the U.S. military's relief efforts on the island on April 6, 2011. U.S. Marines and sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit completed their relief mission on the island the same day.
