Kansai airport linked to U.S. east coast

OSAKA, Japan - Shinichi Fukushima (R), president of Kansai International Airport Co., offers a bouquet to a China Airlines captain during a ceremony at the airport near Osaka on April 28, 2011. The ceremony was held as the western Japan airport began hosting regular flights to and from New York by the Taiwan carrier that day, gaining a link to the U.S. East Coast for the first time.
