300-strong Taiwan tourism delegation departs for Hokkaido

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Wang Jin-pyng, president of Taiwan's Legislative Yuan or parliament, speaks to reporters at Taoyuan airport near Taipei heading to Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido, leading a 300-strong Taiwan tourism delegation on May 12, 2011. Wang said the visit is intended to help rehabilitate Japan's tourism industry, which has been hit hard by the earthquake and nuclear disaster, and to further strengthen Taiwan-Japan relations.
