Charging cellphones with heat from open fire
TSUKUBA, Japan - A demonstrator charges a cellphone while boiling hot water on a fire using the ''Hatsuden-nabe (power generating pot),'' developed by TES NewEnergy Corp., in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, on June 9, 2011. The product enables users to charge cellphones and other electronics using a thermoelectric module which converts heat-waste into electricity during emergencies.
