TOKYO, Japan - A Honda Motor Co. plant in Sayama, Saitama Prefecture, begins weekend operations on July 2, 2011. Major companies in Japan began weekend operations to avoid the concentration of electricity use on weekdays amid power shortfalls in the summer.
