Niigata reactor to be suspended for checkup
TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken in May 2009 shows (from front L) the No. 5, 6 and 7 reactors at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant in Niigata Prefecture. The plant's operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Aug. 22, 2011, that the No. 7 reactor at the plant will be suspended the following morning for an 83-day scheduled checkup.
