Price of Fukushima peaches tumbles
FUKUSHIMA, Japan - Women pack peaches into boxes in the town of Iizaka, Fukushima Prefecture, on Aug. 10, 2011, during the shipping peak of harvested peaches. The average wholesale price of peaches harvested in the prefecture, the No. 2 producer in Japan, fell about 55 percent from its year-earlier level in August amid the Fukushima nuclear crisis.
