Notebook for foreign crime suspects

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows ''Suspect's Notes,'' written in (from L to R) English, Korean and Chinese, made by the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, so foreign crime suspects can record details of interrogations. The federation said Sept. 21, 2011, the notes are part of efforts to help prevent law enforcement authorities from conducting illegal interrogations or forging false confession statements.

The main building has two domes which have been restored to their original appearance in 1914.       MIYAZAKI, Japan - Photo shows an illustration and part of the text describing TV comedian-turned-politician Miyazaki Gov. Hideo Higashikokubaru in the English textbook ''Eco-Navigation and Society,'' which will be used by 100 universities nationwide, the publisher said Jan. 26, 2010. The textbook was edited by Tokyo University of Agriculture professor Tsuyoshi Chiba and others and published by Nan'un-Do Publishing Co.
