Nagano man sets new record for calculating value of pi
NAGANO, Japan - Shigeru Kondo (front) holds his Guinness World Record certificate in Iida, Nagano Prefecture, on Oct. 16, 2011, awarded for calculating the value of pi to 10 trillion digits using a self-made personal computer, beating the previous record of five trillion digits he set in August 2010. Standing behind him is his wife Yukiko.
