Decontamination work in Fukushima

FUKUSHIMA, Japan - Workers use water to remove radioactive substances, leaked from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, from the tiled roof of a house in the Onami district in the city of Fukushima on Oct. 18, 2011. The city, which is situated about 60 kilometers from the nuclear plant, began implementing a major decontamination project the same day.
