Hawks' Kokubo named MVP in Japan Series
FUKUOKA, Japan - Softbank Hawks first baseman Hiroki Kokubo responds to the crowd as the team clinched the Japan Series title by beating the Chunichi Dragons 3-0 in Game 7 at Yahoo Dome in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, on Nov. 20, 2011. Kokubo, who batted .320 in the series, was named the most valuable player. At 40, he is the oldest player to win MVP honors in a Japan Series.
