Myanmar opposition leader Suu Kyi on Union Day

YANGON, Myanmar - Aung San Suu Kyi (R), leader of Myanmar's opposition party National League for Democracy, finishes delivering her speech at a rally in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar, on Feb. 12, 2012. The event marked Union Day, the day in 1947 when her late father and independence hero Gen. Aung San presided over the signing of a unity agreement with ethnic minority groups in the country, then known as Burma, to demand Britain grant independence to the country.
