Sharp to form alliance with Taiwan's Hon Hai group

TOKYO, Japan - Takashi Okuda, executive managing officer of Sharp Corp., who will become the company's president on April 1, speaks at a news conference at a hotel in Tokyo on March 27, 2012. The company said the same day it will form a capital and business alliance with Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the world's biggest contract supplier of electronics products and known for its Foxconn brand, to rebuild its liquid crystal display panel business.
