Tibet chosen as candidate for astronomical observation site
BEIJING, China - A conference of the East Asia Core Observatories Association is held in Beijing on April 4, 2012, attended by astronomers from Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan. They have picked a highland area in the Tibetan Autonomous Region as the most likely candidate for their joint astronomical observation site, academic sources said on April 6.
