Tiananmen protests 'father' Fang Lizhi dies
TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken in Kyoto in June 1991 shows Fang Lizhi. The Chinese democracy activist whose ideas on democracy helped inspire protest movements in China in the late 1980s, including at Beijing's Tiananmen Square, died on April 6, 2012, in Tucson, Arizona. He was 76.
