Kim Jong Un likely to become general secretary
TOKYO, Japan - Undated file photo shows North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un. The country's ruling Workers' Party of Korea was to convene a conference on April 11, 2012, just as Pyongyang said it is fueling a rocket that will purportedly carry a satellite into space as early as April 12. At the conference, whose opening had yet to be confirmed by the North's official media as of early afternoon, many observers expect new leader Kim Jong Un to be elected the party's general secretary.
