Cherry tree planting in N.Y.
NEW YORK, United States - Shigeyuki Hiroki (front L), consul general at the Japanese Consulate General in New York, and Adrian Benepe (R), commissioner of the New York City government Department of Parks & Recreation, plant a cherry tree during a ceremony at Central Park in New York on April 11, 2012. The ceremony marked the 100 anniversary of Japan's plantings of cherry trees in Washington and also in New York in 1912.
