Town assembly OKs nuclear reactors' restart

FUKUI, Japan - The town assembly of Oi, Fukui Prefecture, takes a vote on whether to approve the restart of two idled reactors at Kansai Electric Power Co.'s Oi nuclear power plant on May 14, 2012. The assembly decided to support the restart in consideration of the damage to the local economy and employment that a prolonged halt of the reactors could bring.
