Airing out Hiroshima A-bomb victims' lists
HIROSHIMA, Japan - Employees of the Hiroshima city government take out books containing the names of the victims of the 1945 U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima from a stone container at the cenotaph at the Peace Memorial Park in the city on May 16, 2012. Every year, the city office airs out the books, currently containing the names of 275,230 victims, to prevent damage from humidity ahead of the rainy season.
