Japan requests to remove 'comfort women' monument

NEW YORK, United States - Photo taken on May 18, 2012, shows a monument in Palisades Park, New Jersey, dedicated to the so-called ''comfort women'' forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War II. A series of requests by Japanese officials and parliament members to remove the monument has drawn the ire of local officials.
