Aeon supermarkets open at 7 a.m. for power-saving
TOKYO, Japan - People shop at an outlet of Aeon Co. in Tokyo's Shinagawa Ward just after 7 a.m. on June 1, 2012. Japan's largest retailer the same day started to open most of its supermarket outlets across the country at 7 a.m., two hours earlier than usual, in response to calls by consumers who want to shop in the cooler hours of the morning amid nationwide efforts to save power during the summer.
