U.N. conference may fail to seek roadmap for green economy
NEW YORK, United States - Photo shows the headquarters of the United Nations in New York on June 1, 2012, where preparatory negotiations are under way on the U.N. Conference on Sustainable Development, dubbed Rio+20. The conference will be held in late June in Brazil. World leaders are unlikely to call for a roadmap for global transition to a so-called green economy at the conference, as their draft outcome document has dropped the word amid conflicts between developed and developing nations, negotiation sources said.
