Japan, Australia start FTA talks in Tokyo
TOKYO, Japan - Government officials from Japan and Australia begin three-day talks on June 13, 2012, in Tokyo toward sealing a bilateral free trade agreement, with the focus on what concessions Japan is prepared to make on liberalizing trade in farm products and what Australia is prepared to concede on investor protection. It is the 16th round of bilateral FTA negotiations launched in April 2007.
