BOJ upgrades economic assessments

TOKYO, Japan - Bank of Japan branch managers gather at the central bank's head office in Tokyo for a one-day meeting on July 5, 2012. The BOJ decided in the meeting to revise upward the assessments of all nine regional economies in the country compared with three months earlier, encouraged by pickups in business investment and private consumption.
