Japan regains nuclear power supply
OSAKA, Japan - Employees undertake operations at Kansai Electric Power Co.'s central power feeding direction center in Osaka on July 5, 2012, shortly after the No. 3 reactor at the company's Oi plant in Fukui Prefecture began generating electricity. Japan regained supply of nuclear-generated electricity when the reactor was connected to the generator and transmission grid, with all other reactors in the country remaining idled for prolonged checkups in the wake of last year's Fukushima nuclear crisis.
