Kagoshima governor wins 3rd term
KAGOSHIMA, Japan - Kagoshima Gov. Yuichiro Ito receives a bouquet from prefectural government employees as he arrived at the prefectural hall in the city of Kagoshima on July 9, 2012. He won a third four-year term in a gubernatorial election the previous day, defeating an antinuclear challenger after campaigning on a platform of conditionally allowing the restart of idled reactors at a local nuclear plant.
