Abe not to visit Yasukuni Shrine on war anniversary

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (pictured) has decided not to visit the war-linked Yasukuni Shrine on the anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II on Aug. 15, 2013, sources close to him said Aug. 14. The decision is apparently out of concern that his visit as premier would further worsen ties with China and South Korea.
