Japan delegation's ceremony after London Olympics

TOKYO, Japan - Saori Yoshida (C), who won her third consecutive Olympic title in the women's wrestling 55 kilograms and represented Japan as flag-bearer at the London Olympics, returns the flag to Japanese Chef de Mission Haruki Uemura during a ceremony to conclude the Summer Games in Tokyo on Aug. 14, 2012, after arriving back in Japan with other members of the Japanese delegation that evening from London. To the right is javelin thrower Yukifumi Murakami, Japan Olympic team captain.

Train supporting Japan's Olympics team begins running in Tokyo

TOKYO, Japan, Aug. 1 Kyodo - A train decorated with photos, messages and other items in support of Japanese athletes at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics is unveiled to the press in Tokyo on Aug. 1, 2016, ahead of the Summer Games starting Aug. 5. The train, whose floor is designed after venues for track and field, volleyball and other Olympic events, began running on the JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo as a special service until Aug. 25. On Aug. 26, the train's decorations will be revamped in support of Japanese athletes taking part in the Paralympics in Rio and it will run on the loop line until Sept. 15.

Father of Olympic wrestling champion Yoshida dies

Japanese Olympic delegation arrives back in Japan
