"Defend Diaoyu" activists' boat returns to H.K.
HONG KONG, China - An activist arrives in Hong Kong on a vessel with a banner that reads "Japan, get out of the Diaoyu (Islands)." The vessel, a fishing boat, was impounded by Japanese authorities on Aug. 15 after seven Chinese activists landed from the vessel on one of the disputed islands in the East China Sea, known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China, to assert Chinese sovereignty over the islands. Half of the 14-member group earlier returned to Hong Kong by plane.
