Japan reports failure to respond to IAEA advice
VIENNA, Austria - Shinichi Kuroki, a senior official of the Japanese government's nuclear regulatory body, the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, attends a meeting of parties to the Convention on Nuclear Safety at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna on Aug. 27, 2012. In its report to the meeting, Japan admitted its failure to sufficiently respond to advice provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency before the March 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant disaster.
