Japan eyes relaxing controls on beef imports
TOKYO, Japan - A meeting of the Food Safety Commission of Japan's expert panel is held in Tokyo on Sept. 5, 2012. Japan intends to relax controls, probably early in 2013, after the expert panel reached an agreement in principle to raise the age limit of cattle to 30 months from the present 20 months for the easing plan, government sources said.
