English workshops help foreign moms prepare for quakes
TOKYO, Japan - Foreign mothers take part in an emergency drill during an English-speaking workshop in Tokyo on Sept. 7, 2012. To help ease concerns about earthquakes among expatriates, especially foreign mothers with young children and those who do not speak Japanese, WaNavi Japan, a citizens' group based in the Tokyo metropolitan area, began organizing in May 2011 monthly workshops to prepare them for future emergency situations.
