Police remove Osprey opponents
GINOWAN, Japan - A local resident is removed by police in front of the Oyama gate of the U.S. Marine Corps' Futenma Air Station in Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, on Sept. 30, 2012. The police forcibly removed Okinawa residents who had blocked the gate into the base to protest the planned deployment of the controversial MV-22 Osprey aircraft at the base and removed the barricade the residents formed by parking 12 vehicles in front of the gate.
