Japan airports introduce random pat-downs
NARITA, Japan - A passenger (C) undergoes a random pat-down at Narita airport near Tokyo on Oct. 1, 2012, as the transport ministry the same day instituted random frisking of aircraft passengers at 30 airports across Japan that serve international flights to deter terrorist attacks involving non-metallic explosives that cannot be picked up by metal detectors.
