NAHA, Japan - Photo taken from a Kyodo News airplane shows a Chinese maritime surveillance vessel (middle) sandwiched by Japan Coast Guard patrol ships near Kuba Island, part of the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea on Oct. 2, 2012. All four Chinese maritime surveillance vessels that entered Japanese territorial waters off the Senkakus on Oct. 2, 2012, had left the area by late afternoon, the Japan Coast Guard said.
