U.S. Marines begin operating Osprey aircraft in Okinawa

GINOWAN, Japan - An MV-22 Osprey transport aircraft returns to the U.S. Marine Corps' Futenma Air Station in Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, on Oct. 4, 2012. The Marine Corps began to operate the Osprey tilt-rotor planes deployed at the Futenma base, located in a densely populated area, amid lingering local opposition to the deployment.
