"Iron Man" Kanemoto retires
NISHINOMIYA, Japan - Hanshin Tigers outfielder Tomoaki Kanemoto speaks during a ceremony marking his retirement at Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, on Oct. 9, 2012. Kanemoto, 44, who set a world record of 1,492 consecutive games played without missing an inning, played the last game that day with his team beating the DeNA BayStars 3-0 in the final game of the regular season in the Central League.
