Elephant fatally injures breeding staff
TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken in October 2005 shows Fuji Safari Park, near the foot of Mt. Fuji in Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture. An elephant keeper at the safari park died on Oct. 16, 2012, after being attacked by a mother elephant that had given birth two days earlier. The keeper, a Lao national, began working at the safari park in July 2011, when he was assigned to take care of the mother elephant, and had been checking on the baby at the time of the attack.
