12,000-yr old human bones, tools found in Okinawa
NAHA, Japan - Photo taken Oct. 19, 2012, in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, shows a child's fossilized canine tooth (top) and stone tools made of quartz, all estimated to be about 12,000 years old using radiocarbon dating, that have been found in a cave in the city of Nanjo in the prefecture. The Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum said the same day it has discovered human and animal bones as well as stone tools made of quartz, all from the Old Stone Age, in the cave.
