Sales of Japanese cars in China down 59% in Oct.
BEIJING, China - Anti-Japan demonstrators push over a Japanese car in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, in September 2012. Sales of Japanese passenger cars in China plummeted 59.4 percent in October 2012 from a year earlier to 98,900 vehicles, Chinese data showed Nov. 9, 2012, apparently due to the dispute over Japanese-administered, Chinese-claimed islands in the East China Sea which triggered the protests and a boycott of Japanese-made goods.
