Abandoned animals in Fukushima

TOKYO, Japan - Photo taken in the town of Tomioka, Fukushima Prefecture, on Oct. 19, 2012, shows officials of the Fukushima prefectural government branding with dry ice cattle taken care of by nonprofit group head Naoto Matsumura in a bid to make it easier to identify them. Town residents remain evacuated following the nuclear disaster triggered by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The town's mayor declared in September 2012 that residents would not return for the next five years.
