Japan general election
WAKAYAMA, Japan - Shinzo Abe, leader of the main opposition Liberal Democratic Party, gives a stump speech in front of JR Wakayama station in Wakayama Prefecture on Dec. 6, 2012, ahead of the Dec. 16 general election. Opinion polls by major Japanese media outlets predict that the LDP is on course to win a majority in the election, which would see it return to power after three years in opposition.
