Japan general election
INAZAWA, Japan - Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, leader of the Democratic Party of Japan, gives a stump speech in Inazawa, Aichi Prefecture, on Dec. 6, 2012, ahead of the Dec. 16 general election. Opinion polls by major Japanese media outlets predict that the major opposition Liberal Democratic Party is on course to win a majority in the election, which would see it return to power after three years in opposition.
