Day after general election in Japan
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda arrives at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Dec. 17, 2012, the day after his Democratic Party of Japan's crushing defeat in a general election. The DPJ is to slip from power after losing more than two-thirds of its seats in the House of Representatives, as the major opposition Liberal Democratic Party, defeated by the DPJ in the previous election three years earlier, achieved a landslide.
