Abe, Shirakawa meet
TOKYO, Japan - Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa answers reporters' questions after meeting with Liberal Democratic Party President Shinzo Abe, who is set to become Japan's next prime minister, at the party's headquarters in Tokyo on Dec. 18, 2012. Abe said later he urged the central bank chief to seek an annual inflation rate of 2 percent for the consumer price index during their discussion a day ahead of a BOJ policy meeting.
