TEHRAN, Iran - The Milad Tower in Tehran is barely visible due to heavy smog on Jan. 7, 2013. Air pollution is worsening in the Iranian capital due mainly to chronic traffic jams and a growing reliance on low-quality domestically produced gasoline amid economic sanctions imposed by the United States and European countries.
